Vendor Building and Pest Inspections

These Inspection Reports are designed for those Vendors looking at listing their property on the market but would like a heads up on what issues may come up during an inspection. This is a great selling tool with prospective buyers already being able to view an Inspection Report prior to signing a Contract.

Invasive Inspections

So you have had a Pest Inspection carried out and the Report recommends an Invasive Inspection. Generally this is to determine the cause of a moderate to high moisture reading somewhere in the building to a visually inaccessible area. The Invasive Inspection is carried out to determine the cause of the moisture reading which may be from termite activity or from a free moisture source eg. leaking plumbing.

To do this, a Boroscope is used to view the inaccessible area/s to determine any areas of concern. The invasive inspection entails a 12mm hole being drilled through a particular area with the Boroscope placed inside the area – a small camera on the end of the Boroscope links to a screen which is able to display a picture of the area during the invasive inspection.
